At its annual Construction Industry Parliamentary Reception JCT will be celebrating the launch of the latest edition of its contracts, JCT 2024, and saying thank you to some of the many people in the industry whose contribution has made it possible.
JCT 2024 launched in April, with the release of the first contract family from the edition, the JCT Design and Build Contract.
An Online Launch Event, which took place on 1 May, introduced contract users and the wider industry to the main changes within the suite.
The Parliamentary Reception, taking place on Friday, 7 June 2024, is an exclusive occasion for JCT’s members and guests, celebrating the achievements of JCT and the wider industry, raising awareness of important issues or new developments, and an opportunity to thank those professionals involved in making JCT a success.
This year’s event, in particular, will recognise the work of JCT’s members from across the industry in bringing the JCT 2024 Edition to fruition.
JCT chair, Karen Kirkham, who will give a welcome address at the event, said:
“Every JCT Parliamentary Reception is a special event on the industry calendar but where it coincides with the launch of a new edition of JCT contracts it gives cause for a special celebration.
“We look forward to welcoming our members and guests, and recognising all they have achieved with the launch of JCT 2024 – continuing to facilitate best practice in the drafting of standard form contracts that enables the industry to function effectively.”
